3 DIY Lip and Body Scrubs

Lip and body scrubs are a great way to keep your skin looking fresh and rejuvenated. Exfoliating helps remove your dead skin, as well as, helps free ingrown hairs. Here are three scrubs you can make at home for your lips and body.

Basic Lip and Body Sugar Scrub

You’ll need:

  • 2 tbsp of Moringa oil
  • ¼ cup of sugar

Moringa oil helps in the healing of acne scars and has anti-aging properties.

Mix all of the ingredients together. Get some of the scrub on your fingertips and scrub your damp skin in a circular motion. Take extra time on rougher areas. For you they may be elbows, knees or even your heel. Leave on for at least one minute, then rinse off with warm water.

When using on lips, be gentle. The skin is delicate and aggressive rubbing can cause cutting.

Store in an airtight container if you don’t use the entire mix.

Cellulite Coffee Scrub

The caffeine and antioxidants in coffee can have a slight effect on reducing the appearance of cellulite temporarily. It dilates blood vessels,. Dilated blood vessels will tone and tighten tissue, increase circulation and reduce water retention - all useful in smoothing the skin out to make it look like it has less cellulite than before you scrubbed!

You’ll need:

  • ½ cup of ground coffee
  • ½ cup sugar or salt
  • ¼ cup of Moringa oil

Mix all of the ingredients together. Apply to damp skin and scrub in circular motions. Use a body brush if you like. Leave on for at least one minute, then rinse off with warm water.

Store in an airtight container if you don’t use the entire mix.
