2024 in Review

As 2024 draws to a close, we're reflecting back on what we accomplished with your help this year...  

1. We became the world’s first regenerative & organic certified moringa farm This was a huge step for us in committing to soil health and biodiversity by planting more than just moringa. Stay tuned for chili pepper, hibiscus, peppermint, lemongrass and lots more in the new year!  

2. We launched our second organic moringa farm & planted 253,380 moringa trees, bringing our lifetime total to 3,665,648 trees planted Did you know that every order you place plants a tree in your name and on our website, you can look up the story of the farmer who benefits from your tree? Check it out here!  

3. We doubled our factory capacity to meet growing demand for moringa So many folks are becoming regular moringa powder users - adding our superfood moringa powder to smoothies, soups, and breakfast bowls to support gut health, fight inflammation, and boost energy and nutrition. Your purchases helped us grow and renovate our processing center in Ghana and create jobs for women & young people.   

4. Our farmer Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLA) generated over $300,000 in community wealth - making our total over $1,000,000 since 2019 Crossing the million dollar mark after five years was a huge milestone for us! These VSLAs are micro-banks of about 30 True Moringa farmers who meet to save the income they earn from their farms and lend to each other. When they pay back their loans with interest, the pool of money grows and the profits are shared among members at the end of the year. Farmers use these profits to grow their farms, build homes for their families, cover medical costs, send their children to school, and invest in their communities.  

5. We won the Naturally New England Pitch Competition and shared our mission, vision, and superfood powered goodies with thousands of natural product enthusiasts at Newtopia  

6. We sent 4 of our farmers’ children to college through our scholarship program We exceeded our fundraising goal and we’re so happy to start 2025 in a great position to send more kids to college.  

7. We created 35 new non-farm jobs and welcomed 400 new community farmers into our program We can't wait to share more about our new 100 acre farm expansion in the new year! We’re providing these farmers with irrigation, organic seeds and fertilizer, childcare, tools, training, and ongoing support.  

8. We hosted friends and partners from Whole Foods Foundation, Kuli Kuli, Kiva, Echoing Green, and many more at our farm We’re so grateful to all of our friends, customers, investors and advisors who came out to visit the farm this year - hope to hang with many more of you in 2025!
